A new convenience store, Milngavie Local Mart, is open at the end of Douglas Street. The shop offers a range of everyday essentials and drinks and food.


Greggs has officially relocated from its takeaway only unit on Douglas Street to a larger premises on Main Street, bringing indoor and outdoor seating to the town.
The new shop offers customers the chance to sit in and enjoy their food and drinks. The existing Greggs team have moved into their new location, ensuring continuity for familiar faces and service.

Timpsons is also on the move, with works currently underway on its new Main Street premises.
The Douglas Street shop is expected to close soon with the business reopening on Main Street once the renovations are complete.


Several other town centre units are currently undergoing works as new owners prepare to open their doors.
The former Finsbay premises is being refurbished by new business owners. They plan to retain the much loved brunch and dinner offering, while introducing an Indian-inspired twist to the menu.
Meanwhile, the previous Perfect Pakora unit is also seeing significant progress. New owners are renovating the space ahead of opening a Green Gates, Indian food takeaway business, in Milngavie. They have shared their excitement about joining the town and are hopeful to open within the next few weeks.
