The Merry Milngavie Christmas event will feature a whole host of free activities and entertainment from 12pm to 5pm on the build up to the parade and tree light switch on.
12pm to 5pm – Enjoy live music that’ll keep the holiday spirit high on our main stage in the middle of the precinct.

12pm to 4.30pm. Head to Station Road Car Park to view an array of clothes, toys and gifts at the Car Boot Sale. Perfect for a bit of Christmas treasure hunting!

Enjoy festive drink tastings with The Scottish Gantry alongside stalls from local businesses and community groups.


From 12.30pm to 4.30pm grab your dancing shoes and join in the fun with free ceilidh sessions inside the Ellangowan Social Club Hall. No experience needed!

12pm to 4.30pm – Join The Honeybee Bakery for cupcake decorating and festive crafts to keep the little ones busy.


1pm to 5pm – We will have three kids face painters inside The Fraser Centre building for free kids face painting.

12.30pm to 5pm – Visit Santa’s Grotto inside St Andrew’s Church building. £3 per child.
Share wish lists, receive a small gift, and capture a magical festive photo moment.

Head inside The Fraser Centre building to watch Uncle Billy’s puppet and magic shows that promise to captivate audiences of all ages. There will be 4 showings every hour:
12.00pm – Magic with Ben in a Basket Glove Puppet Routine.
1pm – Punch & Judy with Magic
2pm – Magic, Comedy Juggling / Plate Spinning and Ventriloquism with Krafty Kat.
4.15pm – Little Red Riding Hood Puppet Show and Magic.


3pm to 3.30pm – Get ready for a spectacular parade featuring Santa’s reindeer and our wonderful community. The parade will start from Station Road, head along Douglas Street, past the clock, along Main Street, back along Douglas Street and finish at Station Road car park.

2pm to 4.30pm – View the Cairngorm Reindeer close-up in Station Road Car Park.

5pm – As the day draws to a close, gather around the main stage near the War Memorial for the lighting of Milngavie’s Christmas Tree.


The snowman trail is on everyday from Saturday 22nd Nov to Monday 22 Dec 2025. Find the snowman in the shop windows around Milngavie town centre. Hand in completed entries to customer service desk at Tesco Milngavie or Ruby Red Gifts on Main Street.
