Since Westie arrived at the start of the West Highland Way, it’s been wonderful to see so many people stopping to capture a photo with the sculpture. Families, walkers and their pet dogs have have all been creating memories before exploring the town or setting off on their journey.
We’ve started a gallery with Westie and will continue adding to it throughout the summer as more memories are shared.

The Scotties in the City art trail is running until 16th August and encourages people from across Scotland and beyond to explore new places, discover local businesses and enjoy the unique Scottie sculptures along the way. The art trail helps raise funds for Maggie’s, the charity that provides free support to people with cancer, as well as their family and friends.
Our very own sculpture, Westie, is proudly standing at the start of the West Highland Way. It’s the perfect spot to welcome walkers beginning their famous 96 mile walk and visitors exploring the town.
Westie is sponsored by Milngavie (BID), completing the West Highland Way with the BID team before settling at his home.
