A huge thank you to everyone who braved the wicked weather over the two evenings, 21st and 22nd February, and took the time to view the delightfully lit up windows for Milngavie’s Window Wanderland event.
This year featured over 50 window displays, that where created by local town centre businesses, residents, community groups and schools that all helped transform the streets of Milngavie into an imaginative display. Take a look.
We were also thrilled that several adjacent streets jumped onboard, bringing a sense of local pride to neighbourhoods. Residents on Dougalston Gardens South, Crossveggate, Moor Road and Cairns Drive pulled out all the stops to brighten up their house windows. Have a look at the gallery.

Local pupils from Milngavie Primary, Glasgow Academy and the Youth Centre decorated Tesco’s windows and local clubs helped with the window displays at the CE Centre on Allander Road.
Not to mention many local community groups played a part in decorating shops in Milngavie town centre. A massive shout out to Art At The Grange, Ageless Art, Antonine Artists, The Dorcas Group, Milngavie In Bloom and Milngavie Community Development Trust.
This would not have been possible without the enormous efforts of the local community in Milngavie who helped create an inclusive community event! To see more group window designs click here.
Window Wanderland event was funded by the local businesses through the BID levy, working in partnership with community groups. Part of the event involved a movie trail, with 16 different movies in the windows of local businesses with a prize of a £50 Milngavie Gift Card for one lucky winner.
Congratulations to new Milngavie resident, Outi who moved here in September and heard about the event in the Community magazine.
