The month long adverting will also inform people about the outdoor experience they can have on the walking and cycling routes that start and end in Milngavie.
Chair of the BID and local business owner, Graeme Ross, said “the decision taken by the BID board to launch the advertising campaign on behalf of all the businesses has been a natural progression, building on work completed over the last two years by the Milngavie BID team.
The campaign is being funded by all the businesses in main precinct who pay an annual levy to the Milngavie BID (business improvement district). The ‘call to action’ in the 30 second Sky TV Advert is inviting viewers to visit the main website for the town – Milngavie.co.uk – to do their own online research. On the website they can find out about all the excellent quality facilities and businesses before making the final decision to spend a day out exploring Milngavie and the surrounding area.
This includes the securing, development and ongoing marketing of all our marketing assets from the Milngavie website, our various social media channels and the offline branding such as the street banners and planter wraps around the town. As the restrictions are relaxing over the coming months, we want to make sure as many people as possible are reminded about Milngavie and all it has to offer.”
The decision follows the recent news that Milngavie has been awarded a Business Walking Champion from the Scottish Walking Awards, that recently received a commendation in the Scottish Parliament from newly elected MSP, Pam Gosal.
