Well Being Complementary Health started out in a charity – it provided a space for people to switch off from the stresses and strains of daily life, receive some hands on pampering and a friendly listening ear.
Clients were finding the therapy helped them to address their general health and well Being. Clients reported that they felt calmer, in better spirits, their aches and pains were eased and their energy levels improved – this carried over into their daily lives – allowing then to perform better at work and enjoy life more.
The business provides a carefully designed sensory treatment room, a welcoming, supportive listening ear and unique, luxury, complementary treatments such as Massage, Reflexology, Reiki and dry needling. All therapists are highly skilled and knowledgeable. The owner Emma, herself, previously worked in NHS hospitals as a physiotherapist and where appropriate can provide advice on how to manage aches and pains and injuries. Emma has studied many types of massage and reflexology – from Indian/ Ayurvedic to Eastern /Chinese 5 element approaches to Thai yogic techniques. Emma provides home visits to those who are unable to get to the clinic and workshops for community groups. Mark recently joined the Well Being team to provide evening and weekend treatments – he has a good Swedish massage qualification along with sports and remedial knowledge and is proving very popular with the clients.
