Milngavie United Free Church Craft Group meetings are every Tuesday and every second Saturday at 1:30pm. The meetings are more of a ‘knit-n-natter’ afternoon with as much chat as there is craft work! The social aspect of our group is just as important as the crafts we produce. Ladies are free to work on their own project or take part in a group one, but as a church group we are keen to support local charities.
Previous examples of our work include knitting blankets that were given to local day care centres, care homes and maternity units. It also includes blankets sent to Malawi, hats sent to the Sailors Society, baby units, our troops on active service overseas and City Mission. The group also knitted and sold fun hats to raise money for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.
Milngavie United Free Church Craft Group is open to all ladies – you do not need to be a member of the church. So why not join us for a cup of tea and a blether as well as some knitting or crochet. We hope to see you soon.
